Short Biography

Herlander Mata Fernandes Lima was born in Africa (São Tomé and Príncipe, located on the western coast of central Africa) and has lived all of his adult life in Portugal. He received a summa cum laude Diploma in Water Resources Engineering, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Hydraulics and Water Resources, a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Environmental Policy and Management, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Engineering Sciences. His research focuses on the areas of Transport in Porous Media (petroleum reservoirs), Hydraulics and Water Resources, and Environmental Engineering.
